Old Ellis Camp #1

Old Ellis Camp is a fun 3 bedroom, 2 bath riverside cabin that doesn't take itself too seriously. Located in the very heart of downtown Concan on River Road, this Bohemian river retreat has eclectic decor that suits those with a wild side. A perfect location for an easy walk to your cabin after floating all day. Also a super short walk to live music and happy hour at Hippie Chicks Restaurant & Bar.

Situated on River Road, the location is a few minutes to everything Frio! The front yard has party lights, a fire pit, horseshoes and tetherball. You'll laugh at the cowboy boot bird bird feeder, chandelier hanging from a tree branch and multi-colored bike art installation on the roadside fence that are just the start of some wild & crazy surprises that await you at the Old Ellis Camp. The rock covered patio with rustic furniture is a great place to hang out watching the world go by.

The first thing you notice about the Old Ellis Camp is the exterior and interior walls were built from rocks pulled out of the Frio River. This is a legacy property having been in the same family for over 25 years. Concrete floors let you immediately know that everything in this cabin is a testament to decades of good times. The low key living room has soft, comfortable sofas for relaxing watching a game on tv.

The eat in kitchen has a sturdy table and chairs, stove, refrigerator and sink, with vintage fitted kitchen furniture pieces that add rustic patina. Check out the huge selection of cooking spices that will help you make great tasting meals. Just off the kitchen is a large pantry with cool metal piping to store all your food.

The first bedroom has a double cast iron bed and ensuite bathroom with a multi-colored tile shower. Both the bedroom and bathroom have river rock walls. The second bedroom has 2 twin bunk beds and a double/twin bunk bed. The third bedroom is nice sized and has a queen bed. The second bathroom is over the top! Metal roofing is on the walls and loaded with funny stickers, crazy writings, rustic decor and tile shower. Beware: people will sit for quite a while just to read the walls!

Head down the hall past the 8 foot tall sliver of a moon with ruby lips to point the way to the family room where everyone will want to hang out. You'll find (2) Futons, dining table & chairs and everything else under the sun: life sized wooden Indian, stuffed badger, stuffed sheep head and walls full of Frio River memorabilia. There's lots of board games, dart board and an exterior door that leads to the front yard where all the action is. Enjoy swimming, fishing, bird watching and photography along the Frio River.

This outrageous river cabin offers the very best the Frio River has to offer. A great place to float the Frio River all day and night. Old Ellis Camp doesn't pretend to be anything other than an escape from the ordinary. This river front cabin is in the heart of Concan which is extremely rare. Let the fun times roll!
